The cars should look distinct, Nexon and curve, harrier and safari, Tiago and tigor. Each brand must be an individual product. Durability and reliability are fundamental facets of a product, getting the basics right is non negotiable. Aspirational products will pull crowds, if we look at Mahindra their product and engine strategy looks sorted with powerful diesels while tata borrows fiat diesels citing euro7 emissions, the passing of such regulation in Europe is under question with delays anticipated. Tata motors must get their own diesel engines and tuned for performance for higher end SUV's. Market dynamics seems to change quickly and being lean and agile helps. Thinking on first principles will help you guys. Going the Maruti way is no go, world class products will make a difference for the business.
