So many creative weapons. Interesting to see the tank battles taking place just from bouncing around the map.

@Plaine

My battle analysis:

Red/Cyan: a very close battle. The proliferation bullets are not the most accurate weapon, but when they hit surprisingly hard. The secondary proliferation bullets didn’t do a lot. So when the secondaries were gone and cyan lost the homing missiles, Cyan couldn’t keep up.

Lime/Magenta: Magenta should not have won that battle. The secondary tornado was interesting, but not very effective. The small bombs were the valuable ones. The primary land mine is a lot more effective the the secondary one, which was next to useless. The bubble cannon does a lot of damage, but Lime has to drive over so many land mines that Magenta stayed ahead the entire time.

Yellow/Orange: Yellow didn’t stand a chance until the proliferation bullets were gone. Yellow just got unlucky with those landmines, and the bounce from the Orange bounce cannon made it impossible to hide. The grenade launcher was more of a shrapnel launcher than grenades, so it really only got value on a precise hit in the right spot, which significantly lowered the damage output.

Pink/Blue: Pink did surprisingly well. Pink got landmines, which was ultimately the reason for their loss. The concentrated fire of Blue’s Gatling gun destroyed secondaries, but the tornado passing through obstacles is the reason pink did so well.

Round 2:

Red/Magenta: Biggest comeback so far. Pink dominated most of the round, and the reason for that is there is a lot of moving around in the first half, which means more landmine cover and more landmine damage. But once the second half of the round started, there was significantly less moving around and Magenta lost all effectiveness.

Orange/Blue: Once again, the Gatling gun proves its worth. The bounce cannon the homing missiles didn’t do enough damage compared to the constant fire of the gatling gun. This was really a battle of the primaries, and blue had the better one.

3rd Place: Orange/Magenta: By far the closest match. Once again, the constant moving around the map made Magenta dominate the early game, but fell off again in the late game.

Final Round: Red/Blue: UNEXPECTED WINNER. Blue dominated the entire game, but then, for some reason, Blue stood out in the open, at long range, against proliferation bullets. Seriously Blue, that’s your fault. Ngl I was already thinking about what I was going to say about Blue’s victory when I saw what happened.

@Plaine

I want to see this on a larger scale, this is something people would place bets on.

The new weapons were really cool to see, I just don’t like how so few are used.

@schazz3929

Gatling is broken. It might have one of the lower dps, but it’s also the only main weapon that can hit all their shots reliably.

This second episode was way more centered around consistency rather than pure aggressivity and close range combat like the 1st one, as we can see with bounce gun (3rd) gatling (2nd) and proliferation (1st) which could be seen as high risk/high reward if it’s goal was to hit all of its shots, but it’s more about damage over time as you are sure there will be plenty of opportunities for clear shots.

Lastly, magenta would probably have been amazing against episode 1 and tanks as it’s really nice synergy can destroy ennemies es a bit too close, as we saw it against magenta.

@merikmalhads1676

Man I would unironically love this to be a game. The strategy changes based around what weapons you and your opponent have I know this is simply a simulation with automated tanks but a pvp game using these mechanics would be fun as hell

@joshuascrutton1474

i swear is red some form of protagonist, red seems really good at performing comebacks

@dracothewarrior4316

I never should have doubted Red; near the end of every match, I started to doubt he could pull it off, and every time he proved me wrong with a shocking, come-from-behind victory with his brutal proliferation cannons.

@xuany08

The fact that in the end it was the two OG colours made it so ironic and lucky at the same time

@Elephant5487

great video raiden! nice!

SPOILER FOR FINAL

what a great comeback from red!
blue is so close......

@finaltheory778

At the semi-finale
Me : bruh red c'mon, you should get a good strategy on this battle

@finaltheory778

Remember : different synergies can be formed if the marble choose different secondaries

@amethyphoenix

You know what I hate most about Cyan's first round exit? She actually decided to be sensical with her tank choice and weaponry.
But she wound up being incompetent with her new toys and let Red come back from an early deficit to win the match.
Why must you be so frustratingly incompetent, Cyan? Why must you be such a disappointment?

@mahgeetahh

red vs blue, the oldest rivalry in the books

@seanshepherd1071

I would love to take a glimpse at the pathfinding and targeting AI at some point, as it seems like some tanks are incapable of using the best strategy for their matchup.

One example is the Orange vs Blue battle. The nature of a bounce cannon implies that the primary form pf attack would be ricochet shots at an angle from behind cover, as opposed to the gatling being a head-on. Because Orange was directly facing Blue at all times, it caused the majority of shots to be reliant on coincidence or incidental hits, rather than targeted shots.

Pink was another great example of a situation where the optimal strategy was distance and cover, rather than getting up in the face where they could be chipped away by the gatling gun. This is particularly true as the tornado is an environment effect that cover does not impede.

With slight tweaks to movement strategy, a few of these weapons would have made the matches nowhere near as close as they ended up being, changing the balance entirely for the weapons' damage values.

All that said, this was absolutely fantastic and kept me guessing the whole time... All the matches were REALLY close!

@donovanmahan2901

As all roads led to the middle in this map, i feel that concentrated fire would have been crazy powerful, as the map gives way more opportunities to get close and chew through the enemy's health.

@ohboiyou

I like how raiden uses diep like styles but no one notices and I LOVE IT

@jackb9751

i love how the final fight was the classic red vs blue

@L4v4molly

This was a wild ride.... Orange!!!! You are top 3 keep climbing them ranks

@joshpaulson88

A quick summary

Reds kit, red specializes in long to mid range combat with his proliferation bullets
out in the open and his lasers for when his enemy is behind an object
Cyans kit, cyan is extremely accurate with many fast and deadly bullets on the ready for any enemy in site
Limes kit, lime is very efficient with his bubble gun, using it to deal massive damage from afar while also using it to trap enemies when the bubbles are pushed to the sides by objects.
Magenta's kit, magenta can create a horrendous bullet-hell-hellscape using they're landmines bombs and tornado bullets.
Yellows kit, with an all explosive kit, yellow is a very dangerous opponent to be close to, that's all.
Oranges kit, using his homing missiles and bounce cannon orange can rain down bullets from all sides, that combined with an extremely dangerous proliferation gun is quite the kit.

Red vs cyan, this battle was mostly consistent, cyan was trying but simply couldn't dodge reds proliferation.

Lime vs magenta, this battle was more cat and mouse, lime was trying as hard as he could to get near magenta, but was blocked off by all the landmines and tornado bullets, which was the end for lime.

Yellow vs orange, while yellow needed to be at close range to deal sufficient damage, orange most definitely didn't, I think it's safe to say that this fact cost yellow.

Pink vs blue, this battle was much more intense, as the only reason blue won was because pink couldn't get close enough, and the constant fire really slowed pinks progress on the subject down.

Second round

Red vs magenta, this battle was far more interesting, as magenta could no longer lay the same traps as red could shoot very accurately from very far away, so instead magenta pushed red into they're mines, this worked for a while, but when red realized this, he stayed away from magenta, effectively snatching the victory.

Blue vs orange, this was a pretty even match up, as both participants were focused around lots of bullets, the difference was that blue almost never missed when there wasn't something between him and his enemy, he was also more agile, knowing when to take cover or dodge, which gave him the victory.

3rd place round, both orange and magenta are centered around setting up traps and dangerous situations for they're enemies, however, oranges setup was not stationary, and magenta, with this in mind, decided to get in close range to simply lay they're mines on top of orange, effectively giving magenta the upper hand, but only temporarily, as orange, in the long run, just avoided magenta to well,
earning third place.

Final battle, red and blue can both deal massive amounts of damage with massive amounts of bullets, but red is hindered to long range, as his proliferation needs time to grow, blue, who apparently knew this, crowded red to nullify all of his proliferation damage for the duration of the match, giving him the advantage, but red managed to pull away for the rest of the match, using his proliferation to push blue away to a distance where his proliferation was a deadly weapon. Winning the match and making red champion

Thanks raiden
