I was frustrated by the movie because the book, Mickey 7, is *excellent*. I feel as though the movie reduced the book's thoughtful and well fleshed-out narrative into shallow bullet points. Plus the movie bent it into the unbearable-to-watch allegory for US politics, which was entirely absent in the book. Terrible, just terrible.
