thanks for teaching my 2 years lighting studies of my college in 6 mins.
As an aspiring filmmaker, you guys have no idea how thankful I am to have your videos. Every week you help me learn so much, and honestly I would be lost without you guys teaching me the skills I need to know!! #nothingbutloveforfilmriot
"Low Key, beyond being Thor's brother," was my favorite part of this video.
Congratulations !!! Great work
Is this guy going for the Guinness World Record for speaking fast?
You guys have inspired me to start making films, especially since my school pays for after effects and premiere pro! Thanks so much
Ryan this was AMAZING! ive been waiting for you to get back to stuff like this. im a huge fan and have been for years but im not gonna lie i drifted away because i wasnt getting the more informative content but you won me back with this one. Much love duuuddeee. :)
One of the better 101 lighting vids I've seen. Nice, quick, and non-nonsense. Nice, tx.
All those triangles on peoples faces started to look like an Illuminati conspiracy video
Ryan talks so fast but he never stutters. This is impossible, must be genetics...
Thank you for this video. I hate looking up lighting techniques and only finding videos about three point lighting. I'm glad there's something out there that goes more in depth to actual basic film lighting techniques.
Yummy delicious lighting! It seriously changes the mood of any scene. Not the camera.

Film Riot really...lights...up my world...
I love all things Film Riot but this kind of video is definitely my favorite
You're a true FilmRioter when you don't skip the sponsor advertisement and watch it with the same enthusiasm every episode.
Great techniques and, as you said, cross over well into the photo world. Thank you!!
Love this look at lighting terms and what they practically mean in video/film. It's easy to search up a WikiHow or some article on the web, but seeing it in action, as the light physically moves is a really good learning tool. This is awesome.
This was very good no nonsense crash course. Thank you!
