Impact drivers rock!
I’ve been using them for years… decades.

@dLikesDDs

i love watching people discovering old tech for the first time

@duskrunner333

The original impact driver

@Berm_Blaster

I remember the first time I used this type of impact driver. My dad suggested it for solving my issue. I laughed and said sure dad having no idea what it was. Sure as fuck it worked

@patriotjerm1664

It's called an impact driver and they are amazing !

@dnomyaryevi869

I have one I bought in 1965 (58 years ago) for my Honda 150 motorcycle. Back then they didn't put gaskets for the side covers.

@markroush7182

Been using these for over 50 years!

@GJames007

Impacting screwdrivers are a life saver. Honda likes to screw the rotors on the faceplate. I swear it’s sometimes impossible to remove the phillips screws sometimes without this device.

@doccls

Yeah, had one since the 70's. Invaluable.

@AutoN8GT

Electric Impact drivers, when used incorrectly, will easily strip things. This method prevents that because the downward pressure is a requirement. That’s cool.

@robertg9334

Those impact drivers work excellent for the screws on the brake rotors

@jeffengland9913

Ive got one made in the 60s. Still working fine.

@drkcobra

Everyone who's owned a motorcycle and worked on it has one. Try getting a philips side casing screw out without one!

@billbeeb1803

I've done collision repair for 40 years and I use the old impact drivers all the time

@1985cjjeeper

Turn the impact driver to the center where its unlocked and tap it in place before you start trying to spin the bit. My father taught me this trick and it has saved a number of Phillips heads from being stripped. Thanks dad!

@stevecross667

My dad gave me his old impact driver.. in 1985! Still use it now! It’s certainly not new tech.

@michaeladams9641

Impact wrench, used to be a must have back in the early days of biking

@joelh3030

Yes, ive used these for brake rotor screws. Got one from harbor freight for about $20, still works.

@ardhifarhan4821

that's such an oldschool style tool but works like a charm
