So you want to be an oncologist before gta 6 is crazy
I've been waiting for this video since I was pre-med! Now working towards my goal of oncology. Everything I love about this practice was mentioned
While oncology is an exciting specialty in the western world it is still a depressive one in LMICs in general. I'm a physician (GP) in Cameroon working in a cancer Center and we face alot of challenges as many patients still die due to lack of access to treatment. It is my dream to become an oncologist and a research expert in this field of medicine.
Please please do one about Radio-oncology.. I feel like it’s very underrated. Me and many others would definitely appreciate your insight!!!
Thank you for finally making this video! I’m a pre-med hoping to someday go into pediatric oncology (Moreso the hematologic oncology side of it). I feel like this video really just made me more confident in my desire to go into the field. I’d love to see a so you want to be a hematologist video, because while you did touch on it in this video, I’d love to hear more about it!!
Can you also do an episode of "So You Want to Be a Hospital Administrator/Health Services Manager," please? There are a few people who went to medical school but later realised they didn't want to specialise in clinical jobs but rather wanted to build a non-clinical career.
we won.. after all these years we finally got the video, in all seriousness thanks Dr. Jubbal for all the hard work and dedication you give to better equip the next generation of physicians and healthcare workers a-like. Your work will echo through many years to come. All but the best to all, ♥
I want to be a doctor to relieve patient suffering and to give my patients advice on how to thrive physically and emotionally. I need evidence based information to foster their well being and resilience. Researching consciousness as an emergent property would be awesome too.
Great overview. Although, in surgical oncology it’s based on general surgery which is the majority but not the only one. Other surgical oncologist include orthopedic oncology, Head and Neck Surgery ( in ENT and some general surgery), nuero-oncology (neurosurgery), gynecology oncology and breast. I would love to have a video on these surgical oncology subclass. It’s worth noting also that, in pathology, there is a subspecality where you can be an oncology pathologist- either hemopathology and even surgical oncology pathology. Other than that good job!
Loved this video! You should do one on genetics!
Please make Clinical Genetics next!
I'm currently deciding between pedia neurosurgery (surgical sub specialty of neuro oncology)and pediatric hematology oncology. I love the complexity of the brain and the research component especially with brain tumours. But the demanding nature of brain surgeries and the not so nice results of many post recoveries puts me off. I need some time off for research which is one of the main objectives of my life goals. Oncology proves to be another good option because it has a lot of research. Leukemia is the one I'm most interested in especially in children so I hope with the research I can help those with it. But I'm worried I may not find fulfillment especially since it isn't really associated with surgical operations
Still waiting on vascular surgery 🙏🥺
Can you do a video on “so you want to be a radiation oncologist “ please and thank you 💕
I’ve been waiting for THISSSS
A video about forensic pathology would be cool
I love this specialty!! Currently a MA for an Oncologist on my way to med school :)
Can you do a "so you want to be" video on vascular surgery
