@CivDiv

Hey really appreciate the kind words everyone! It’s a relatively small non combat injury I gave myself, the key take away at the end is don’t be complacent 🫡 also, have a merry Christmas!!

Proof that the most dangerous weapon on the battlefield is an engineering degree

@duhmoment8135

“Friendly fire on myself” is an insane statement 😭

@gamlaman

>goes to fight in 3 different war zones, outgunned and outnumbered in each of them, gets shelled, bombed, drone striked and shot at a bunch of times
>things that actually harm him: a pair of sheep's lungs and his own drone
Someone should make that meme of "I fear no man, but that thing scares me" except both are Civdiv.

@joeb2955

Glad you didn’t lose anything

@Crunchy_Toast07

Good to see you still alive, brother. Keep the fight going strong!!

@crochou8173

people just dont know hand injuries can actually hurt a lot

@VK4NNA

Crying is a perfectly natural human response. You could've been crying out of relief that your hand wasn't hurt any worse. You could've been crying because the adrenalin was wearing off. You could've been crying because you thought you'd let your team down. Whatever the reason, it doesn't matter why you cried.
I hate when men carry on with all of that macho BS.
Just as I hate it when anyone minimises the work of anyone whose contributions to community self-defense isn't "front line."
Fvck that sh1t.
A person distributing equipment from the relative safety of a warehouse nowhere near daily combat, for example, is just as tough, committed, and worth huge amounts of respect and thanks, as a person volunteering in the infantry.
I'm glad you're healing Mr Civ. Div. Don't squash your sensitivity or lose your humanity.

Nurses the world over are real life Angels. They make you feel like you’re the only patient they have had that day. Bless them all

@CHEEEZ-UK

Takes a man to admit he cried. Hope you heal up well. Appreciate your videos,insights and humanity dude

@himmythe2nd

Damn man, hope everything gets better and you get back out there doing what makes you happy

@OfficialBigStick

Bro's dad lore is gonna be insane, glad you're not super seriously hurt!

@hunterwyeth

CivDiv and Adam Savage with the same great advice. Don’t get complacent!

@cenccenc946

There was a study by the pentagon some years ago. They found about 8% on average, none-battle casualties should be expected, just moving an army from point A to point B. Just the process of fielding an army, with lots of men around large dangerous machinery, accidental discharge of
weapons, etc. All without anyone even firing a shot. Now that is the U.S. military with a crazy amount of safty protocols and professional soliders. I am sure both Ukraine and Russia have it is even higher, given the adhoc nature of the war.

@johncheresna

First impression of the picture, I thought it hit your junk. 😅
Slava you and Salava Ukraine.

@2Fast4Last-91

From someone who has sliced they’re palm open I can assure you it has never ever felt the same after healing, squeezing my hand is almost a delay I can only imagine how this would affect someone active duty

@ReformedSteven

As someone who’s had multiple major surgeries back to back and countless ER trips, that feeling of being cared for on that level really does make you cry lol. It’s a good cry though
