It's actually insane that in around 13 years or so, Anker has gone from being a phone replacement battery seller to developing and manufacturing (in rough order): charger cables, battery pack, GaN chargers, security cameras, smart locks, world class projectors, 3D printers, robo vacuum cleaners... and now this! Kind of a testament to how advanced R&D has been in China for the past decade!
I love that you actually sat there and did the whole process like the workers would. That's really humble and humanizing to the efforts of those people. I respect that a lot.
It's rare to see such an indepth manual assembly video including jigs and QA! Nice one!
Creds to Anker for having the confidence to show so much detail about the construction process. Also a great example of how modern manufacturing relies on networks of specialist suppliers.
This is a marvel of mechanical engineering and shows how hard it is to go from a prototype to a product.
No only is the machine itself incredible. As an engineer it's so incredible to have a look at such an assembly process. Designing the parts, designing the tools to assemble the parts, the jigs, ... this is such an incredible level of complexity, it blows my mind.
Awesome to see you go from hacking iPhone mods in your little Shenzhen apartment to getting an in-depth hands-on tour of the manufacturing process of a new product line for a major company. Content is just as interesting as ever, just next level now.
Wow this factory tour did not disappoint from raw materials to a finished product this was amazing to see. First of all thank you for all the hardwork that goes into making a video like this, and secondly thank you to Eufymake for allowing you to go backstage and share all of this what most companies would keep secret with all of us.
Wow, you got to work at so many stations! Props to the manufacturer for that access.
Never occured to me until you did this one but this kind of factory line walk is like the best teardown video (in reverse obv.) you could possibly ask for, for a product like this.
Holy... i can't believe they got Strange Parts to do a video about their factories. This is amazing.
Still one of the best Youtube channels ever! Keep it up!
Videos like this make me appreciate the price of the device and how much saving it can give you for small merch distribution.
Coming from someone who’s worked in an American factory we have a long way to go to compete with the the rest of the world in manufacturing for so many reasons
I absolutely loved it when you joined the production line. Hope you do this more often in the future.
UK tester of the E1 here. Love the printer. Fantastic video, it’s so great to see what goes into the design and manufacturing of it. Thanks!
This video is awesome. Having you make it part by part and explaining it along the way is awesome. I hope to see some more videos like this in the future, if possible. Thank you, Scotty
Every time you do one of these factory/product tours, the thing that impresses me the most is just how dense the manufacturing districts like Shenzhen are. That you can have an aluminium casting fab, CNC, assembly, finishing, and all these other steps within a few minutes of each other, and not all even operated by the same company is crazy.
Great content bro. I've lived in Shenzhen for 18 years and have been to more factories than I can count, but I've never worked the factory line before. Good job haha
