@veritasium

What happened to my comment section?! :(
This video is about observations of our universe and our best scientific explanations of those observations. This video, like science, has nothing to say about non-evidence-based beliefs.

So many people in the comments with huge egos who think they understand everything about how the universe began. You all seem to speak with so much confidence you never even question your own position because you already believe it. I'm not picking sides because I'm talking to almost everyone here.

@JonathanFisherS

I've never seen a conflict between Science and Religion, because I've yet to find a place where they deny, rather than enhance each other. One must simply understand what each is attempting to do! Another great video +Veritasium. Thank you for bringing science to the masses!

@Mirgolth

2:46 Is that a cosmic microwave background ball ?

@qwerasdfzxcvtyuighjb

Thanks for the video, Dirk.

@speroed

I read A Brief History of Time and came to Veritasium to hear you explain these concepts again

Nice visual illusion there - can you see grey spots between the corners of the squares?

@Cashman9111

FINALLY, something on popular science channels about bing bang that I didn't know

@chairmanimao7982

In ancient Chinese theory BAGUA, says a singularity point randomly generated from void emptiness rather than say there was nothing at beginning... that singular point is Taichi, yes the well known Chinese martial art named after it - the looking low action might generate overwhelming power, Yin and Yang two sides of realm were generated from that singularity and later the 3 dimensional world we live in.

@shroomish7516

This video was delivered in perfect timing as I am now doing a school project about the Big Bang, so thanks 😁

@m.12m42

I Love veritasium :)

@ronaldderooij1774

He should have explained that what a physicist calls "nothing" is something entirely different than what ordinary people think of as "nothing". Nothing in cosmology is just all possible fields are at zero point energy which is a fancy way of saying that they are hovering just above zero, but no-one can ever know where exactly.

@grantbowtiefanaccount2437

I was scrolling down to find some of these religious comments everyone's speaking about, but there was so many comments complaining and it that I couldn't find them. Way to go guys, you outplayed yourselves.
Seriously.

@boosie6076

@JosefHabdank

5:06 Issue with the vacuum cleaners like this: They can not drive over curbs in doors which are quite common, at least in Europe.

@RamonPeelP50

This blue eye perceives all things conjoined. The past, the future, and the present. Everything flows and all is connected. This eye is not merely seen reality. It is touching the truth. Open the eye of truth... There is nothing to fear.

@Nvrmr_

Dark energy is too long name, if it turns out to be equivalent to space dark energy-space-time will be quite a mouthful. Awesome video as usual!
