@M6Props

Very cool idea. I can't wait to see how this improves over time.

@channelisomo

Also imagine it stuck underwater over something or inside ship and battery runs out...then what...no cable to manually pull up

@thumbjuggler3943

cool idea.. rim driven props, iv made some of those:)

@Jkauppa

nice reinvent infrared remotes :)

@TheComicChild

Pretty neat, but I'd bet it costs as much as a movie drone for like 11,000 bucks or something. :c

@philjamieross107

neat their site only has props

@andreyrumming6842

It's a regular surveillance drone with a tether disconnect that wirelessly transmits from itself via basic optics to the tether. "NO MORE CABLES" in your title is extremely misleading.

Also it will transmit data down to 6000m. It won't transmit data 6000m, it can just transmit and work at 6000m depth providing the wired tether is nearby

The rest of the video is just PR for their "Wireless optical tech" which is just optical data transmission. Notice how the only actual footage is of roughly a meter or two underwater and the rest of the video is entirely CGI? The only real tech here is a cheap underwater drone, and showing of the Luma optical modems which are legit tech
