I had my son in a homeschool program in California CAVA K12. We had to meet with one of the teachers every month to bring his work to her. He even had testing requirements. It was an amazing program as they supplied books and if needed computers, printers and musical instruments. Best decision ever. He later went on to a regular schools honor student program. Homeschooled children should all have to do this, I never thought about needing this for their safety. Very sad!

Home schooling does need certain laws like the kids should have to go in person to take certain test

You do not need new laws or any restrictions on home schooling. If the child is not seen in public, cops do a well being check. As long as the child has regular doctor, dentist, etc, visits, you know he is ok.
