What do you guys think about award winning websites? What are some other reasons why they're bad/good?

@MaxJones123

It’s a bit like runways vs. wearable fashion

@abhisheknandann

The point you made about "it's like digging your own grave for beginners" is absolutely true, at least in my case. I started taking inspiration from these websites and when I was unable to match that level because of my limited skills, it was supper frustrating. Took me a whole year of procrastination to publish my own, because I was constantly comparing mine with these websites.

@traviscoy

Scroll hijacking should be illegal

@diyar.5064

Ayyyyy you got a sponsor lesgooo, but aside, great content as always huy!

@StoryScope-z3u

projects

@IamFlamey

there is a reason why amazon doesnt look the award winning designs.

@Diego_Cabrera

I’m with you on this. The purpose of a website should dictate the design. I personally enjoy designing websites that are intuitive and convey info in easy to digest manner but still have a style that aligns with the company or product. Great video man!

@kai.bryant

You views are on point Huy! The amount of CREATIVE websites that justify breaking the boundaries with usability is HUGE on the internet these days. As a UX designer transitioning into becoming a full time web design / developer, my goal is also to make websites that are creative but offer seamless interactions. I am right now learning React from scratch!

@edgarasben

Spot on, it really depends on the purpose of the website. For heavy storytelling and art it's worth it. Otherwise, stick to something more functional and UX focused.

@wasibilyas7097

Hi Huy, hope you are doing well. I am also an frontend Developer. And I love your content. I have you to make an step by step video of what courses or material you used to learn, and animations. Kindly make detail video.

@whoami724y

There is this one developer that their works is often highlighted in awwwards, one of many thing that was said that i keep in mind everyday is that the small details that mattered a lot / micro-interactions. And this doesn't just mean about the animations like for hamburger button, but also performance and user experience in these small interactions.

@raghadshk3583
