@MarvinThiessen

Even if 5,000 new homes are built, who can afford them? Who would want to move here given current conditions? Portland has a long way to go before more arrive than are leaving.

@growlinbear

Double property taxes on STR and vacation homes from foreign countries .

It's not affordable

@Fluffylabellchatlane

Portland doesn’t have a housing crisis it has an illegal immigrant crisis. Driving up the cost of rent and driving down wages.

@jamesklaatu9359

Talk about tone deaf. It's the taxes. No one can afford to live here. People and businesses rather move to lower taxed locations. Just can't fix that progressive blind spot. Or their stupid.

@Azazel2024

God shes homely

@larryporter6434

Their just trying to house non citizens!

@thomasmclaughlin5089

It’s not affordable housing that is causing the out of control homelessness. It’s the rampant drug use, availability of drugs and the bottle bill which essentially gives and enables the the drug addicts free money. These people couldn’t hold a job let alone pay rent to stay in affordable housing. Which they DO NOT want anyway. Get your priorities straight governor! You are going down the wrong path
