Here’s me, watching this on the iPhone 11 Pro that was my 2018 Xmas present! Before that, I had an SE for yearsssss (loved how small it was).
Refurbished phones aren't bad if it's in excellent condition
I’m happy with my iPhone 11📱 and since there’s no LCD options I think I will hold onto to it for a long while.
Buy from manufacturers that give software updates for a long period of time. That's why I switched to a Pixel. Other brands were cheaper, but you'd be lucky if you got more than one major update.
Wild idea: OEMs should release phones every OTHER year. We’ve peaked maybe 8 years ago? It’s all iterative af now.
Apple already inflates its pricing, so why not absorb the tariffs instead of passing the cost onto consumers? Especially when the majority of their revenue now comes from services, not hardware. On top of that, Apple spends more on marketing than on R&D—surely, they could cut back on marketing expenses to offset the tariffs.
Spreading fear at every turn boy you can tell people are so scared of tariffs and it’s hard for people to see the big picture
They all faulty seconds refurbished means Rubbish
That's a lot of work, when we could just avoid having tariffs. Why should we be punish for the government decision.
Extending the life of our gadgets? Tell that to apple and their invasive updates that will systematically kill the device.
I'm not broke to buy used technology.
9 times out of 10, I buy refurbished items.
Buy Samsung phone
Are you all idiots at CNET? Tell people to not vote for any duopoly candidates instead. What are you all doing over there at CNET?….
This situation is quite dystopian. What on earth is happening over there? It’s like a frog in a hotpot situation, where you can’t even buy a phone anymore because of the rump. Please continue to fight for the rights of minorities. Once the weakest become targets, things change rapidly. I never imagined I’d see the day when this channel would do a technology review for second hand goods. Recycling is good, but when there’s no other option and you’re trying to normalise it, is a third world country situation. Get out there and push back against the tariffs before things truly collapse.
