मुझे आज भी अच्छे से याद है, 1986 के अगस्त के महीने में मैं और दादा जी धान कि फसल की नीलगाय से रखवाली करने के लिए खेत में रात को माच (मचान) पे सोए थे, तभी विविध भारती के प्रसारण पे यह गाना बजना शुरू हुआ, लेकिन फ्रीक्विंसी सही नहीं होने के कारण गाना सही से नहीं आ रहा था, उस समय हमारे गांव बिजली नहीं आती थी, गाना का फ्रीक्वेंसी सही से पकड़े और गाना शुद्ध रूप से आए इसके लिए दादा जी पूरे खेत का चक्कर लगा लाए, तभी नीलगाय घुस गए खेत में, और थोड़ा सा धान भी खा लिए, जब वो आए तो मैं बोला दादा जी नीलगाय आए थे, खेत में तो वो बोले जाने दो वो भी उसी ईश्वर की संतान है जिनके हम है, उनका भी तो थोड़ा हक बनता है, और मज़े की बात ये थी कि वो इस बात से खुश थे की गाने की 2 लाइन और याद कर लिए थे। आज ना तो दादाजी है, ना धान का खेत है, ना नीलगाय है, और ना ही अब फिल्मों में ऐसे मधुर संगीत है। हम इस बदलते समाज के अंतिम पीढ़ी होंगे जिन्होंने अपनी संस्कृति को अच्छे से जिया आज तो बस दिखावा रह गया है।

Here I am, at my office in São Paulo Brasil, listening to this pearl made by Raj Kapoor almost 60 years ago. But a classic remains always a classic. While I was in India , I remember in Kolkata and Delhi some taxi drivers, and some people at bus listening this kind of music. So beautiful, You Indians have such lucky to have this level of culture!! Congratulations, It makes me joy and very grateful for it!!

When I was 10 -12 year old, my dad play playlist of kishore kumar and I always said to my dad I don't like old songs. But now I am 20 year old now I know why my dad like these song. It refresh our mind and most importantly lyrics match with our life. Old is Gold 💞☺️.
