I have a weird theory. So we know that there are three seasons in this show. Season 1 in 1962, Season 2 in 1935, and Season 3 in 1908. At 1:25 we see curly haired boy ask "Have you ever heard of something like that?" to his parents. His father looks ar him and then side-eyes his wife (curly-boys mother) who side eyes back. They dont say anything. Just look at each other seriously. I assume that the curly-haired boy was talking to his parents was talking about the dissaperances, and my theory is the father/mother have gone through the same thing and recognize this pattern. And that they will characters in season 2 (1935).
