You would think that considering how technologically advanced the star wars universe is that they could have reconnected both halves of Maul's body instead of going through the trouble of building him a mechanical spider lower body half . They made life way too complicated for him , going to the restroom & just moving around in general with all that extra equipment . Simply reconnecting his top and lower body should have been child's play to a medical society as advanced as this . Even with Vader, they should have been able to either clone his organs and limbs or get limbs and organs from a donar body .
