City was started around 1979 when Deng Xiao Ping put an X on a map on some almost empty land right across the border from HK. I don't know any other city in the world of 17M people which has grown so rapidly. I am grateful to have participated in that growth over the last 14 years.
U.K., Love the Chinese! Delighted they are growing fast!
China has just officially announced the completion of a 3000 km green belt bordering the Taklamakan Desert! That can be seen as a huge inspiration and experience to share with the rest of the world for taming sandy dry lands.
I visited Shenzhen in the late 1990's. It was still developing - roads were being fixed the drainage system was polluted, letting out untreated water and the air was full of smog. Fast forward to today, its an amazing transformation: the city is clean, the air is clean and it has modern infrastructures and utilities. I don't think I have ever seen a city develop so fast.
Danke Jason fΓΌr das schΓΆne Video China π¨π³ ist unglaublich ππ
As an American in Shenzhen, itβs my favorite city by far.
My Canadian government tells us to fear China π I donβt fear China I fear my government
So now, in addition to Light Speed, Warp Speed, Ludicrous Speed, there's.....CHINA SPEED.
China has made spectacular developments in technology world relationships, and uplifting it s people out of poverty. So sad that our country cannot accept competition and true differences. We should deal with our own messes, instead of focusing on Chinese issues.
The China story is a miracle! No other countries in the world could have achieved such unbelievable developments! Jiayiu China!πππβ€β€β€

this is possible, because the rich and the whealty individuals serve severe punishment if caught with corruption, unlike the US.

Shenzen is a very interesting looking city, but if any of you never knew, China has a better city located almost at the centre of the country, which has a small population of 8.3 million compared to this one, and is more known as a "Prototype" city, it's called "Chongqing City", it's even more futuristic and more innovated than I thought existed yet. But well, you should search it up yourselves as it will take a long while explaining it all...
I am a Filipino. We are Pro China when our president Duterte was still incharge. Chinese help us Build structures in Philippines and free medicines during pandemic, our fishermen let them fish in traditional fishing ground, we export banana's in China etc. unfortunately, New administration has change its Policy over China, US funded Philippines for military equipments and even US bases, dragging us for war in an event of conflict in taiwan I have no hate for Chinese people because they are our true neighbor. We should not treat them as an enemy, because they are being friendly and helpful if you know their side. Philippines should have been neutral to China because they are our neighbor and business partner since ancient time.
Amazing feat, transforming fishing village in 30 years into futuristic mega city . A city with GDP shoulder with South Korea side by side .
Wait! The US colonies says theyβre more technologically advanced than China! Say it ainβt so!
