I'm a human grown on internal combustion, baptized in petrol. My Sunday entertainment has always been watching other humans race each other. What you guys are doing is awesome and incredibly hard. Also very impressive, there is no doubt that there soon will be a day when your project sets a faster time than a person. And then I will be the first in line to watch two (or more) autonomous vehicles race on a Sunday.

The outcome is irrelevant. The rate at which the robot improves from now into the future compared to Nicki is the real test. As humans get older, robots get smarter. Scary stuff.

They did handicap Nicki by instructing her to stay in the middle of the track, and she also started with cold tires. But she still beat DevBot. Looks like they nned to program DevBot to brake much later in the corners.
