Everyone here tells you not to start with java, i disagree. Java is a pretty good place to start imo, if you learn java you will understand python, javascript and many other languages. if you only program in python you will feel completely lost trying to program in java or c. I honestly feel like if you actually want to do real coding start in C, C++, C#, Java or Rust. if you understand any of these languages you will understand 90% of the «beginnerfriendly» shit languages like python. (python being shit because it is slow as shit.) I would like to end my comment by saying that starting a language is what matters not which one, there arent really any bad first languages.
Java is absolutely the worst possible place to start learning how to code. Go with javascript, lua, or python. Honestly recommend javascript most of all since it prepares you for other C based languages, but lua and python are good for getting the basics of coding logic down. And no, java and javascript are not the same, not even similar. Two very different languages, despite sounding similar. You do not want to start with java at all.
do NOT start with java you will regret it
