Seeing pantera live in the 90s meant that no matter where you sat, stood, fell, your entire body was going to hurt very badly the next day. The entire venue was a mosh pit. Great times.
The older I get the more and more obvious it is that no one can touch these guys, I don't care how technical or fast some players are or complicated their compositions the energy and raw expression of these guys woven into such great songs and consistency is unmatched IMO. Dime and Phil especially are like a match made in heaven.
Yall gotta react to all of Pantera's albums!
As someone who witnessed Pantera live at least 5 times, they were untouchable in their prime. What Metallica was for Metal during the 80’s, Pantera did for the 1990’s.
Metallica's Creeping Death from this concert is nuts. 1.6 million people screaming DIE, we felt that shit in Canada.
A breakdown so heavy it took down the iron curtain
It's the biggest crowd of your life and you step up and rip off that solo! goat
Try not to headbang OG video right there! That breakdown gets me crunch faced everytime
Pantera made some amazing music. Cowboys From Hell is such a good album
This is right after the collapse of the USSR. These people were under communism where American band music was illegal. Imagine decades of that and all of a sudden you are surrounded by 1.5 million people and listening to live American metal for the first time and Pantera comes and blows the lid off as the opening band. It’s more than a performance it’s a snap shot in history and many bands rose to the occasion (Metallica killed it too).
Pantera are easily one of the greatest metal bands to ever exist. Love your work fellas. Keep on keeping real music alive and kicking 🤘
Dimebag was another kind of animal. First time i heard Pantera was in the early 90's and still to this day i get goosebumps from this! So happyi got to see them live. And Hellyeah and ofc Down 🤘
I can't believe how much time has passed. I was going to Pantera shows in Texas since the age of 15. Dime passed when I was 26. I'm now 47. Crazy!! Saying Pantera was a HUGE influence on my life is an understatement.
What’s so great about this music is these people play from their heart. Dimebag Darryl displays his soul and it strikes a chord in so many of us
Dallas texas born and raised just like pantera shit was epic in the 90s I was only like 8 all my uncle's and dad took me to a white zombie and pantera concert it was fire
I was enamored by this video of Pantera when I was 15y old back in 1995. They featured it on their Pantera home videos. What a time to be alive
This is the GOAT of live breakdowns. I really don't see how it could get better. Almost 2 million Russians going ham on this? GOAT
I think Pantera live in Moscow is definitely one of my all time favourite live performances of one of my all time favourite bands. RIP Vinnie & Dime ❤
Was fortunate enough to see Pantera 3 times back in the day. And I saw the reboot last year
