@JOSHMADOFF

One small correction and one really cool fact:
- The Clavichord does have some dynamics but it's extremely quiet so the range is very limited
- The first organ was the water organ, invented over 2,300 years ago!

@jasonmead4899

Being able to play keyboard like a string instrument is amazing! This is the future I WANT!!!

@DavidFoxDotCom

Thanks. Good intro. FYI harpsichord strings are plucked by a plectrum, not by a “stick”. And the clavichord has dynamics - ppp - p. Vibrato is also possible on a clavichord because a tangent remains in contact with the string.

I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE! TAKE MY $$$$$$

@sound.workshop

Lovely video Josh and the EE team. Thanks for spreading the joy of expressive synths!

@Sequenox

Thanks for this excellent MPE tutorial!

@jimbojoho

A really good video, thanks for this

@frankpahle8906

It's always fascinating to see how much joy you can bring to your endless creativity. Thank you Josh!

@chriswillis1207

Interesting fact: The clavichord can actually play loud and soft. In fact it also has a kind of aftertouch vibrato as well. The big problem with the instrument is that it’s so quiet you can really only play it on your own.

@MDMvision

1:00 ho , ho, a Clavichord does have velocity and expression! You can even twiggle the keys and get a kind of vibrato effect, which even has been scored by some baroque composers! And, unlike the harpsichord, the strings aren't plucked , but striken , much like a guitar string. When you press a key, you are actually hitting the string and keeping it pressed in tune. A reason i got the Expresse E is that it reminds me of the clavichord ;

@HustonSingletary

Amazing walkthrough Josh, and the E7 and Deckards Dream sounds incredible.

@DELAURENTISmusic

Thank you for sharing 😍

@RDouglasRichmond

That was great Josh. Thanks!

@OdoSendaidokai

Wonderful overview! Thank you 🌻

Great Video!

@DropoutSound

The day that an MPE controller goes below 1k the real revolution will begin.

@funnzie

I am going to stay with my floor full of CC pedals and sustain and switches and channel aftertouch for expression. With just one good synth/controller, 88 keys, and up to 16 zones all with different pedal and patch assignments, it is quite expressive. I will be adding a HydraSynth soon for experimenting with PAT.

@KeithThomas-q9b

I'm very interested in learning more about controlling parameters of Kontakt instruments using Osmose as a controller! Got more videos on that topic?
