@frequentlycynical642

They still don't admit to their culpability nor the extreme barbarism by their troops.

@mayhampol7818

People argue against the nukes, but having grandparents who fought in WW2, i probably wouldn't be here if there was a mainland invasion.

@thebearonhighwayone

Nutty is like that Teacher in High School you actually looked forward to learning from. Thanks Professor Nut. 😃

@Benson_aka_devils_advocate_88

You scared the poop out of me!! I thought you had gotten a new narrator for a moment, until I heard that warm voice I've grown to love! You've got such a knack for narrating these videos. Please, don't go anywhere!!!

Okay, I'm better now 😜

@stephenschroeder6567

This is all good stuff, but you did not mention the huge contribution made by Dr. W. Edwards Deming on introducing quality processes to Japanese industry. He helped them go from an importing nation to an exporting one that turned out some of the greatest quality products still to this day. The highest award for quality in the world is awarded each year in Japan. It is called the Deming Prize.

@grapeshot

I had two great uncles who served in the US occupation of Japan right after World War II before they both got sent to Korea to fight.

@garyclark4282

I don’t think MacArthur “stepped down”. I believe he was removed from command.

@barcharlie

Remember that kid you fought in school but he became one of your best friends? Americans really like that kind of friend and mutual respect of strength.

@johnjones5354

I reject your statement that the US was "responsible for the devastation of Japan". The damage to Japan was 100 % the result of the actions of Japan.

@SamBroadway

LOL rewriting history seems to be very common... MacArthur never stepped down... Truman fired him!

@demosthenesanianotecson5765

It must have been morale crushing to the people when they realized their emperor was no divine being nor a god but just a merr human being

@thomastims9583

Great video ! Love to see more like these. Great teaching till also

@Setton_Exile

Morbid fact, no new Purple Hearts have been Minted since 1945. Meaning all the Purple Hearts that have been given out to this day were Minted for the Invasion of Japan.

@Tacomaster21

This is a great video. Very informative!

@memadmax69

Its not all roses in japan.
They’re dieing.
Decades of stagnant economic conditions has left the population unwilling to have children, depressed, and suicidal.
Their justice system is also brutal im general, even with minor offenses.

@migueldoesstuff6994
