SEAF: I can’t believe it! A real hell diver!

Helldivers: I can’t believe it! Alive SEAF!

@shrednaught5

it's crazy how effective these guys actually are, especially in groups. i was getting mauled by two overseers and six of the trooper pulled up and absolutely shredded them like they were voteless.

@zacharyweaver276

just imagine a helldivers RTS game commanding these guys with helldivers as special units

@Kai-1138

No wonder the other planets have fallen so easily, THEY’VE BEEN SPENDING NEARLY ALL OF THE DEFENSE BUDGET FOR THE SEAF ON THE SUPER EARTH GARRISONS!

@Apeeps

i swear they better have SEAF Stratagem where you're able to call npc reinforcement that follows you around.. good alternative for turret

@BlackWACat

it's funny how their AI feels and looks so janky, but they are SO GODDAMN EFFECTIVE

they just take out heavy outposts across the map while i'm doing literally any other objective

@rippera45

SEAF troopers are more effective than the previous campaigns suggested. I've even seen them take down Illuminate bases. It was really impressive to be about to extract, see the notification for a base takedown, and realize that no one at the Pelican played any part in it. SEAF must've gathered in big enough numbers on their own; not sure how else they managed it. Still cool that they did.

@Igris-tu4ps

a medic variant with a stim pistol or smth could be awesome to expand the squad roles

@FailcopterWes

"Remember soldiers: waste enemies, not bullets!" is some Earth Defense Force tier dialogue and that is exactly what I wanted from these guys. Legally distinct EDF is my favourite kind of planetary defence force.

@Orthane

they honestly hold up quite well. Really dispelling the myth that the standard soldiers are useless guards who don't actually take part in real combat. I love seeing them whip out their EATs for big enemies.

@solaireofastora5999

They're quite smart despite being incredibly Janky. They only use their EATs on anything bigger than a Overseer, their aim always hits the enemy and they always move in groups of 6 with 1 radio operator 2-3 EAT heavies and the rest are standard infantry. The fact they even switch fire modes depending on the enemy behavior like 1 bullet for Shielding overseers and few voteless but full auto on Flesh mobs and shieldless Overseers is already crazy but they're even programmed to do objectives like destroying cognitive disruptors, destroy landed dropships etc is wild. These AIs are more competent and Ubisoft and EA AIs

@Orthane

They really love throwing grenades, which it seems like they have HE Grenades which are actually very powerful. They just need to have lines saying "Grenade out!" or something because damn the amount of time I have nearly died from a grenade I didn't know they threw.....

@DivineCatStories

This is one of the best allied AI I've ever seen in games

They don't destroy all enemies in their path, they can even hit you. But they try not to hurt you and allied AI

They are not helpless, and not super strong, and are very well balanced compared to the Protoss-shit

At the same time, they are also very atmospheric and do not get too stupid when you put them in a non-standard situation.

That moment when the developers wrote the right AI for the right conditions in which this AI will be, and not just a universal set of commands "for any moment", as is often done when the bot tries to adapt to everything at once and does not know what to do or is too strong

I feel that these are real allies (they can even break outposts), and not a background theatrical picture. You are better than them, but you always appreciate their efforts. This is the strength of the human spirit

@mefaltaoriginalidadxd52

These would get along very well with the Imperial Guard.

@seroviks

Local camera man broadcasting SEAF forces fight for democracy..! o7 I salute them..!

@Orthane

For rank and file they stand up very well to the Illuminate's rank and file. It's really just the big fish that they will get wrecked by, Harvesters, which they only have EATs for and will get one shot by, Stingrays which they obviously can't deal with at all. Though they do surprisingly well against Fleshmobs, mainly because they love using their EATs on them.

@Ex-Christian1000

Sometimes competent. Sometimes dumb. Always brave. And occasionally...they get their moment of heroism, like taking a fleshmob with them. I love the SEAF soldiers.

@schnitzelfritzel6287

I remember someone mentioning just how cool it'd be if helldivers spoke different languages depending on which language you had your game on. (Aka if you are english you'd speak english, but if another helldiver was italian and had their game's language to italian then you'd hear them speak italian). It would honestly make so much sense and would be so extremely cool if the SEAF were all speaking randomly selected languages just to give the feel of all of humanity fighting together at a global scale. Then again, this is the future so all of super earth territory has probably been assimilated into one culture and language lore-wise.

@gamermyths3878

This video truly shows how usefull they really are

@matsuHanabi

Now i realize how precious Helldivers in lore are. 4 can do missions that needs 100 SEAF
