You've done a broad BMW history I believe. But it would be interesting to get a big car detail vid on the 60s and 70s BMW story that inckudes their bubble cars and especially their 2-wheelers. Feels like bikes might have been a relatively small revenue earner but it was te core business from their 20s rebirth ad post war bans on doing much else. Not forgetting their pre-war supercharged bike TT glory

@Drgoldthumb

What a great story! So glad this we finally get to hear it. I have a e46 and a e82, and it’s very interesting to see the 2k2 that somewhat links the designs together. I will have to pick up that book

@robmitchell1238

Very interesting! BTW, the magazine article which put BMW and the 2002 on the map in America was by David E. David Jr. in the April 1968 issue of Car and Driver. It was titled "Turn Your Hymnals to 2002."

@dalerollinson

But, what's in the boxes!? If it's his book, they must either be really thick or shipped in tiny quantities

@Greig300

I wish you’d asked… was the BMW 1 series actually MG/ROVERS Design… stolen by BMW.
