Yo Shaq! I worked with the lighting crew, I was there. That was in Moscow... 1991. It was the Monsters of Rock tour. Pantera, The Black Crows, Metallica, AC/DC and a Russian metal band played. It was held at an airfield. They expected about 100,00 people to attend and the last official count was that over a million showed up. There were over 10,000 police and military types there to control the crowd. There were clashes. Hundreds of police ended up hurt and about 50 people died. After the fall of the Berlin wall the kids were still fighting for their freedom from soviet oppression. This gave them a chance to come out and rock! Getting out a lot of pent up aggression. Music can be a driving force for unity. It was the last night of that tour. I remember thinking on the trip home about those kids over there fighting for their rights... and paying for them sometimes in blood. How fortunate I was to live in America. RIP Dime-bag Darrel! We miss you...

@SirZeck

My dad was there in 91,that's where he met my mom then married her couple years later till this day pantera's songs can be heard in my house. \m/

@freerusty04

The fact that two brothers are in the same band and one is one of the greatest guitarists of all time, and one is one of the greatest drummers of all times, is something that gets overlooked in the history of music

@KattMurr

I saw Pantera live 5 times. I was privileged to have met Dime in 1995. Very sweet, polite and wonderful guy!!! It still makes me cry talking about him. His death still blows my mind!

@goodlawditsspongy20

1.2 million ppl were at this concert biggest concert in the history of metal period

@CriticalRoleHighlights

Half a million people in that audience. This was the first heavy metal festival in the Soviet Union after the fall of the iron curtain. Multiple bands played there, Metallica also being one of them.

Also, Pantera was the first heavy metal band to reach #1 on the Billboard charts with the album 'Far Beyond Driven'.

@rushforce33

all of Texas would go to a Pantera concert if they were all still alive....stay metal my friend

From a lifelong metal head, its always a beautiful sight to see newcomers to our world. With this specific video reaction we can officially Welcome you, novice metal head lol. Subscribed 🀘

@ronpayton3070

This is probably the best reaction to metal that I've every seen. I'm a die hard metal head and this reaction has made my night. It takes an iconic band like Pantera to cause a reaction like thisπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚LMAO

@1madinjun

Kanye: I'm a God look how I packed the club tonight, must be 500 people here.

Pantera: Half a nation showed up, gonna be a good pit today.

@troyhenjamin1144

Over 500,000 Officially,(Unofficially 1.6 million) people "The Monsters of Moscow" AC/DC,Metallica, Pantera and The Black Crowes. I believe September 28,1991. In Celebration of the Cold War ending the youth were given their choice of bands and they wanted these 4. Saying they wanted Westernisation.It was the biggest deal event for them.

@ryantheignorant8140
