I am surprised at how green and kind of nasty the water looks, but then further out the water looks better. It's definitely fun to see these videos on the lighthouses.

This Lighthouse is an ideal place to install a remote Kiwi Software Defined Radio with a decent vertical HF antenna to run remote Amateur radio comms. The site would have excellent low noise and signal take off angle being on the water. A hotspot would run off your solar system and use very little power. Worth investigating.

what an awesome project . i do wounder what the purpose of this light house was ? it seems like there are no rocks or anything for miles around ! where i come from [england we have many lighthouses but they are always there to warn ships to stay away ?

So, are you now responsible for the maintenance of the light? I'm assuming it is required to still be lit at night, otherwise it's a hazard.
