correction :Napoleon didnt lose series of battle . his only defeat was siege of Acne where he failed to take a fortress city which was constantly being supplied by british navy through port. Also the lose of naval battles during acne siege destroyed napoleon's resupply and siege cannons .Also the plague , food shortage swept his force up. . Btw napoleon managed to cutoff ottoman force from entering syria and he managed to hold egypt which was his main objective. Also after siege of acne he won several battles against ottomans. In battle of Abukhir he defeated ottoman army who had 2x size also in another battle with only 4k men he defeated 40k ottoman army. with minimal casuality. He was recalled back to france cause of the new coalition of Austria and russia starting a new campaign against france. The dominance of British navy caused Egypt to fail. Still egypt was french colony for 4 years after his departure. Actually napoleon sustained whole campaign with no resupply , reinforcement and plague , and he himself said if he didnt fail at siege of acne who would reach India surely.
