As a person who has sever back problems (unnaturally fussed, bulging discs, narrowing of spinal cord space) I highly recommend going to the pool as many times a week as you can and engage in physio exercises, working legs gently. The pool is good because it reduces the weight on your joints while you strengthen the muscles to support your back better. Get a good back physio to help. The swimming goal is not about swimming laps (until you can), but rather to be able to move back. Hope this makes sense.
We are massage therapists and getting caught up on your videos. A few videos back you lifted that fridge into the back of your van by yourself. I yelled at the tv that you were going to throw your back out. Guess what, you did! That is what threw your back out not standing talking with Danika. The pool activities suggested below is great but for the love of your back stop lifting heavy things alone. Get help or go get one of those hydraulic tables that can assist you with heavy things. You are getting older and need to start working smarter not harder. Getting a massage regularly would also help with your lower back issue. Much love to you and Cruizie. Love your channel!

I suffer from lower back pains just about everyday. 3 bad lower disks, S1, 2 and 3 and feel your pain. What helps me is watching my weight, sit-ups to build up stomach muscles (belly fat is bad), lean with your back agaist a counter just above your butt crack and lean backwards for a few seconds, slowly straighten back up, do that a couple times a day. Make it a habit! It does wonders. An occasional Aleve (Noproxen) does wonders. Find yourself a cushion for your van seat while you're driving and a good lower back brace, the kind that uses a draw string type to tighten to brace you back and help you stand straight up.
Hey Chrome, what about getting an SI belt sacroiliac belt for when your in pain, I had a similar problem a few years ago back and the chiropractor and the SI belt really helped, get well soon, keep the coming ๐

Go to the Doctor, get checked out, get some muscle relaxers, and stop enduring and suffering through the injury. You'll have manageable pain and will heal faster. It is important to determine the root cause of your pain, since it is recurring, before it becomes chronic. I had a bad back injury, and had to sleep in my office chair for a month, because I couldn't get to see a Doctor (during Covid) A few years later my Doctor said I should have just gone to the ER.
We're here to support the cause ๐ I think it about time you see a back doctor because this is starting to interfere with your lifestyle and fun . Lots of good advice for Chrome, hopefully he takes some and gets better soon. For those of us who have experience with major back pain, its better to be proactive when you get into this situation. Meds on hand, back brace, proper mattress and neck supporting pillow as well as some decent shoes with arch support. All these things makes a iffy back less painful and less often going out of place. Also a good cane instead of crunches. Sucks when the body doesn't corporate with your plans.
