What I would do starting over: https://youtu.be/glgmavKWg3Y & My dev job and salary history: https://youtu.be/QILxmJpH6wM

@python007

Transitioned into tech this year after working in construction for 5 years. I was working 12 hour shifts and coding was my outlet. Every-time I feel complacent I remember where I came from...man

@wesleyoliver8123

I needed this! just started school and learning about all of this is overwhelming. I feel better now lol

@XcyteBike

I can definitely relate. I've worked in cybersecurity for 3 years. The learning never stops! It really is an endless cycle of starting from ground zero and building yourself up.

@nontraditionaltech2073

Just found your channel, love it!
You just explained about 80% of my first 3 yrs in industry. Keep up the good work!!

@MiksCasal

I really enjoyed this video man! haha

@edetmmekut809

So real and straight to me.I dont know why but all i thinks these days is going deep into not so popular language like rust

@F33Nominal

I am in a similar path as you. I work construction all my life due to early circumstances but have always loved everything computer related. When I was young, i had a knack for them and never got back to it. After construction has beat me silly, I still recognize my love for programming and logical IRL thinking that leads me to diving back into learning from scratch. Your videos seem to fit too well and let's me know that it's never too late!

@Gaisiran

Thank you for the honest heads up 🤝🏼😂

@CaeRoberts

Hit the nail on the head. It can be so overwhelming to jump into a new SE role only to find a bloated, framework heavy codebase that takes about a year to understand everything. I think it's so vital as a junior to get as much paired programming time as possible. It's like having your hand held and really fast-tracks the learning to becoming independent.

@jacktabomb

Great video man! Just finished a great coding bootcamp but have just started to climb the leetcode mountain before I feel confident enough to go through technical interviews.

Still sending out applications and excited for the next chapter and all the JS bugs

@VR6R

Late to the party here, but every word of this is pure gold & 1000% correct. Even after 10 yrs as full stack enterprise dev this hits home. Thanks for giving a voice to the never-ending internal dev struggle. Great vid!

@Yarkaha

wooow!! this is great bro. this video looks like 1minute video. appreciate your insights. Thank you🤩

@miguelescalantemilke7204

Dude, I loved that you tackled the part of feeling like a failure and a fraud and feeling like you don’t deserve the pay.
I’m actually working as a data scientist but I identify with fearing when will my boss realize I’m not that good.

But also, I want a rise or even to go somewhere else where I can buy some more time to learn more and stop feeling like a fraud.

@jacobnyamu8826

Love this!!

@Xarlithion

Real, transparent and entertaining. Best Dev on Youtube. I have seen them all, I would know😁💀

@RedneckJr

I’m in construction myself and I’m ready to make the switch.

@Nomadically

Thanks mate, that was a real pleasure to watch through ^^

@stepallday

Thanks good information im just starting

@sentinal_ai

Just found your channel and I went from mainly Data Engineering and DBA to a full stack consultant from a small company to a big one in NYC and its like speaking to aliens. I constantly have to learn and complete projects at a pace I am not use to but i guess its normal for everyone
