i enjoy programming since i was a kid so im think im ready for harder things
Agree completely. True for any profession/area of study, really.
also consider that at university things may tend to flow slower.
Never a truer statement! I started programming on a Commodore 64 with BASIC then on to C, then on and on with other languages. Hours upon hrs of writing code and trying to find that typo that causing my code Not to work. 😮😂😂😂
Something I want to add because after 9 semesters of chemistry and a bachelors degree I finally decided to do the right thing and study computer science: Don‘t beat yourself up if you realize you didn‘t choose the perfect path from the start. You can always switch, life is not a race. If you are unhappy with your situation look for the things that cause you to be unhappy an CHANGE THEM. Waiting will only make it harder.
Only one who knows, knows that this is the right advice.
Never forget enjoying the work
I actually dropped out of my cs studies recebtly for a different reason. I really enjoyed the cybersecurity and networking i studied in the first year and the programming was fun but a bit boring and not very helpful. But after the first year into the next realising id just spend even more hours not learning how to code good software or anything else regarding cyber security along with having to repeat unnecessary modules such regarding research and academic writing, which was irrelevant to what i wanted to do, i decided to drop out and focus myself into cybersecurity and writing software.
What did you find hard about it? I didn't run into anything particularly hard in CS.
Just good advice for any course or job really. They just get difficult in different ways.
Honestly, I would’ve just said don’t
Skibidi toilet rizz (I’m on a fking 4th semester rn and I both love and hate it)
Yeah solid advice. Feel like it's the same for a doctor, accountant, lawyer. It can either be your hell or your passion. Follow your heart.
