For sure, SRK is huge globally. I’m a black American but lived in South Africa as a child, where they played Bollywood films on SABC3. He’s in probably 1/2 the movies. 💸 Extremely recognizable talent, like Aishwarya Rai. My Parisian friend who was born in Cameroon also knows about him. Glad he was in attendance.

Hey I am egyptian and I know SRK since I was 8. Here in Egypt, he is more famous than any Hollywood actor. You can ask anyone in the streets about him even the children and BTW many of us watched this event just to see him. It was an honor to you both, whom I do not even recognize, and for the met gala to witness the king himself.

Why does everyone think they don’t know who he is? They introduced him by name and said he was a Bollywood star. He was the one who said he was shy and nervous so it seemed like they were putting him at ease. Also he looks amazing, I love his style.

Dear Vogue, ShahRukh is one of the most influential people in the world. He is one of the richest actors (was it 2nd richest after Seinfeld unless that list changed). His philanthrophic efforts far outpace any of the global acting fraternity and in his 60th year his aura is simply unmatched. Let your carpet interviewers do their research. While his look is very dapper and on brand (and expensive) and likely purchased and not loaned it is completely carried by his aura which exudes the Dandyism and achievement in the face of oppression.

Why is everyone saying the interviewers dont know who Shah Rukh Khan is? They even said " the first Male Bollywood Actor to attend Met Gala" They didn't even say anything bad at all

Do you know what an article out there said? no one knows SRK, but after watching this video I realized, it's not that they don't know him, but the fact is when SRK was on the red carpet they didn't even let him stay for long. There were videos circulating of a female staff in black not letting SRK stay longer and greet fans on the red carpet, and those videos were really impressive to watch. But I'm glad I got to see this interview video, because SRK was treated well (*even though it wasn't on the red carpet and they don't know much about it).
