He talking about china, there they can reach office to home 10 min. In Bangalore traffic daily average spending is 3 to 4 hr and 9.30 work it's almost 14hr now .

Name sake is 8 hours of work a day in India. But on average every software employee is working another 4 to 5 hours which is "unpaid" once they are back at home informally to make themselves available at US and other countries timings. There they are already working 12 to 13 hours a day....75 to 80 hours a week. Unfortunate that the labour laws are weak in India unlike US.

Then focus on education system rather than putting pressure on employees who are derivatives of that outdated education system. Compare indian education system to chinese education system,then you can get the expected productivity.
