@ricado372

This is a perfect example of how wealth inequality affects us all. How can a council have no money when taxes are high? Because the richest in society have bought up the assets once owned by the council. A wealth tax is absolutely essential to stop us turning into an India or Brazil.

@4_am

There is a culture element to this as well some aeras are cleaner than others who are fly-tipping

@rockallmusic

The video editor is having fun with the sound effects.

@Nzwarriord

The image of Birmingham has been tarnished for good

@Sandra071162

It's bad for surrounding areas as well. We have long queues at tips and an increased fly tipping due to this strike. It's costing Walsall council taxpayers as we have to pay for the removal of rubbish from our lanes.

@66kandFrends

*It's even crazier. One council department wanted a few people, 6 I believe, to relocate from one job site to another, no pay cut no redundancies, just normal departmental restructuring. The local union said these people should have been consulted first we go on strike now, and the council went '?????' and here we are.

@Subcomandante73

Sadly Labour has long since abandoned the working class. Too busy taking gifts from the rich.

@Gph0367

All workers deserve a decent living wage. Fed up with the huge wealth inequality that exists. Doesn't have to be this way. We are a rich country!

@x-marks-x5137

It’s worse then Napels 😅

@AngelaStephen-c8c

Worse than image - what about health? I’d send in health and safety and sue the government for not protecting my health.

@Beggingbrigade

The council created this actial role what the pay dispute is over, so if they hadn't created it then this would never of happened, ywt again mis managed by the council

@diane5891

But Alastair, where is the money coming from?

@ChristianSahajpal

That’s crazy

@GraemeMacDermid

Why is Birmingham in financial distress? There is no context here.

@Abzy886

Owen Jones has done a good job covering this on his channel and the hypocrisy of The West.

@tracyharrison9536

Birmingham Council should tax the very wealthy.

@robbielad

Bring back Workhouses.
And National Service.
And food rationing.

@julian987r4

That’s Liebour councils for you.
