This movie will forever be in my heart, it’s based off my elementary principal (Brad Cohen) and every year he would explain how he had Tourette’s. We watched the movie in ASP many times.
As someone who has Tourette’s, this was torture to watch, because it’s basically watching an hour and a half long trigger. However, it has to be the most wonderful, accurate and well executed film I have watched that has brought awareness to TS, and I am thankful to have come across this film! What a beautiful story line.
The respect I have for his Middle School principle is immeasurable. Everyone in this world needs to be like him
It must've been absolutely hell for people with Tourette's syndrome in the past. Thank goodness they have more understanding these days.
Dude. What a god movie. I’m 23 and obviously am always on the internet. I see a lot of people fake Tourette’s syndrome all the time but I know there’s people who actually suffer because of peoples prejudice and ignorance. God bless all of those who really have Tourette’s. I support you and believe in you. God made you just the way you are for a reason.
I’m sobbing, I’m going to school to be a teacher and I have Tourette’s. I didn’t know there was a movie, or someone who went through what I am going through. It feels good to be able to relate to someone.
Best movie I've ever seen, I'm glad the funeral scene wasn't extended. A real tear jerker
This movie made me cry. I have vitiligo and the first time it appeared I was so sad but now I have come to embrace and love it. This movie just makes me want to embrace it even more. Praise God
This movie made me cry and the respect I have for his middle school principle is limitless. When Mr Cohen had Tourette syndrome, his mother would always support him instead of giving up.
I watch this as a kid, and decided not to let dyslexia win for me. I was told as a kid I will be on disability, but I have a college degree and a great job
I have Tourettes. When I was in middle school and we watched this movie, I got bullied for my Tourettes. This movie still remains one of my favourites to this day. Even though I was bullied, I felt so seen and represented with this movie and story ❤
Brad Cohen's an excellent teacher. He's one of the best teachers you can ever have. Brad deserved to win the Teacher of the Year award.
the principal calling him to the stage i was so upset and terrified thinking he would bully this child in front of the school bc he started out weird until actually starting to ask the important questions. And it‘s fascinating to see the kids all listening and understanding more than most adults in his life
I grew up in the 1960s and 70s with an older brother who had TS coprolalia. It wasn't understood properly or widely recognized. My mum thought he should be able to control it. He didn't go to the cinema etc. or use public transport. He was a loving man with beautiful qualities who became a Recruitment Officer and worked with understanding colleagues in the same organisation for 40 years. He had many friends, long term relationships, found love and marriage. I don't think he found his life easy, but he didn't hide away and made a good life for himself. I loved him. I know this film will help educate and inform. Thank you.
This actor really played the part! A wonderful movie!!!! Thank you for allowing us to view it!
This made me cry so much. This is why I’m so passionate to be a teacher like Brad. Everyone will have a safe space in my classroom no matter the circumstances. One of my favorite movies now. ❤️
There are two people in my college class with severe Tourette's Syndrome (worse than how Brad has it)... They are both wonderful people. And I consistantly wish them the best of luck in life.
It’s crazy how one person standing up for you in this world can truly have a huge impact on you for the rest of your life, I’m amazed 🥺the support from the family (mom especially) is what we all need, a little bit of correction but someone to listen to us and truly hear us out , wow!!! And a big ups to Mr Cohen, for not letting his illness stop him from doing what he loves most, teaching , thus is a message and a sign to anyone wanting to pursue teaching , if people with these kind of illnesses can get through it, who are you not to ? Wow I’m truly moved by this, and to think I just came here from tik tok, thank you tik Tok 🤭♥️🤞🏾🤞🏾
I am a special ed teacher...This is one of the best movie which inspired me..Thankyou
