Okay, unironically this is such a huge moment for Kiryu. He never sang this song after the events of Yakuza 0 because it reminded him of Nishiki. Him singing this song with his new friends means he considers Ichiban on the same level as Nishiki now. I never thought I’d see the day.

Headcannon that Kiryu has a better connection with Ichiban because he hears that his and Nishikis voices are similar(because VA is the same for Ichiban and Nishiki) so he immediately liked Ichiban and sees him as a great friend like Nishiki
