CRT Forever for old game so perfect
Wait... I had the same tv
That little tv is a champ!!!
This early 4:3 LCD hdtv/monitor gives the CRT a run for it's money. The N64 is connected via s-video.
Your tv looks uniquely good and capable for this. I think it looks great, must be nice and sharp
Sharp made a lot of those 4:3 lcd tvs
PS1 PS2 N64 GameCube all were made with CRT TVs in mind
N64 is MEANT to be played on a CRT TV not a flatscrren
i have a 4:3 EDTV with ps2 and wii connected using component cable and it looks like emulation, the resolution is just perfect
These early lcds have all the inputs you could want and look good with composite signals! I love my Samsung LT-P1545
As for somebody who's just getting into this realm I love the indecision on this thread between CRT and LCD I'm currently collecting CRTs for gaming but boy oh boy does that look clean. Definitely will be jotting this model number down. My life is so much better after quitting modern gaming no more battle pass chasing no more seasonal event grinding no more fear of missing out because I didn't grind hard enough or I didn't put enough hours in. Games that were full in their entirety when released we're so cool it's a shame game companies have to leave a back door open and every single title they make so they can continue to put microtransactions and pay to play stuff attached to it thankfully I had enough sense to get away I think that's partially due to me being born in the 90s I digress
Think N64 outside of pre-rendered backgrounds is the poster child of how crt effects visuals. Ocarina of time is just so visually pleasing on a crt.
I remember playing halo 2 on a similar lcd, and it felt like there was no input lag i couldn't believe it
Absolutely the CRT
🤘📺
Some lcds are great for retro stuff. I have one that i specifically use for dreamcast and its like the tv was made for it
That flat tv is 4:3
CRT for sure
Even for the 6th gen... with 480p, the LCD sucks. Yes you have 480p but the ghosting of EDTV significant nowadays, and colors suck. I had one few months ago. The CRT rules, 0 input lag and crazy colors.
