@barrylee5846

Man, cpt steve is great!!!!!

@brandonhuggins1736

While still annoying, this context makes things a bit more palatable. People are often thinking “WTF,” but if we’re provided info it makes things a lot better. Thanks Capt Steeeeve.

@KevinMaakestad-u8r

I'm not flying anytime soon but it's still priceless information any one can use now our in the furure

@michelleagnew8780

It’s Mrs Captain Steve! I now have to go look for this interview! I was just asking if she could do a short interview 😇❤️🛩️

@RAEckart22

Lol, had this happen at a concert once, they sold a seat that didn't exist. Luckily, they bumped me and my group up to fourth row.

@FeHopeCyndiW

Happened to me. I was flying for my job with the USG and it would create a huge headache for me not to make it into Reagan that day. They had an empty seat in first class, and I ended up paying a huge amount out of my own pocket to get that seat and go. Not a reimbursable government expense. In my opinion, they should not have not charged me.

@GinaBecker

This is really frustrating and annoying especially when you booked your flight months and months and months in advance only to find out you don't actually have a seat that you paid for. I had a flight to Dallas for a conference and the approximate 33 and a half hour flight due to overbooking equipment malfunctions etcetera turned into a 30-hour flight. We ended up missing the first day of the conference and the meals that we prepaid for were non-refundable as was the hotel fee that was non-refundable because it was linked in with the conference fees. And on top of everything else our luggage ended up getting lost and the airline did not compensate us for any lost luggage either. So that trip ended up costing us an extra $$$$$ in unexpected costs

@kristenkunkel3745

That happened years ago when flying to England was supposed to be on a 767 and another 767 had maintenance issues so they took our plane and gave us a 757 I ended up in a bulk head row not the nicest transatlantic flight

@ghostdude5767

I want Captain Steve for my pilot.

@SternDrive

Is that Mrs. Captain Steeeve?

@KevinMaakestad-u8r

Thank you sir.

@josephvadder

Airlines is the only one to get away with that shit. The government needs to come down on them.

@donaldcarpenter5328

capt. steve, an apologist for our poor airline service. a true "company" man...

@mangafq8

Airlines have to get their act together. That is the issue.

@Tomcroese

O, no, that is sad

@jimschermerhorn5370

Very reason I pay full fare instead of flying on my sister’s passes. Is because of getting bumped.

@cheezybred

Not my problem, better make a row 26

@le_th_

Overbooking is the #1 reason there is NO SEAT for people

Equipment change does occur, but it's not the #1 reason. American doesn't just keep widebody aircraft sitting around, collecting dust, in a hanger...BUT if there is a mechanical problem they will DEF try to substitute equipment when they can.

Pilots can't just fly any airplane they want to fly, they need SPECIFIC qualifications on ONE type...i.e. Airbus, 737, and 767 and 757 are different aircraft, but the cockpit is so similar they're qualified on BOTH.

@LisaLittle-c4n

I will never fly an A319/320 again, if I can help it. I have flown 55K miles this year, and my favorite plane is the triple 7. It is smoother than the Dreamliners in my opinion.

@ferencvad8251

Don’t have to overthink it or explain it complicated. Just say the other airplane is somewhat smaller or if you want to be exact just say, the other plane has few less rows. Simple.
