Looks great and works good. $175 tho?? Dam. Lil pricey but I guess it’s worth it if you axe goes out of tune a lot. I was thinking more like $75. I was way off lol.
Darrell... You're always exposing these insanely ingenious products that nobody has ever heard of. Thank you so much. You have no idea how rare it is to find someone like you that doesn't conform to mainstream products. Your pension (penchant lol) for quirky and useful reviews is so needed in the yt community. Everytime you upload, I'm so thankful that I'm subscribed. Keep doing the good work and finding these things I could have never have dreamed of.
Thank you Darrell. All of my guitars stay in tune only because of you. Seriously. I'm not a guitar player (I'm a "drummer") but at my later stages in life, I've found a real appreciation for modding and making guitars sound good at every level of quality. You're such an inspiration to normal guys like me. I'll look into the product, per usual. Keep it up and thanks again. MMJD
Had a few locking nuts I bought online, and tried to see if it would cinch without being installed.... WORKED LIKE A CHARM AND SAVED ME $170!
Me: * finishes video Alright let’s see how much... 178$.... Alright let’s just close YouTube for today
If it wasn’t called a nutbuster, and it wasn’t way overpriced, I’d probably buy one.
I had that floating nut problem awhile back. The doc fixed me right up.
Very clever solution. Looks like it worked well. Bending the bar up is where most tremolos crash and burn.
I have one of these. It actually works. I had it on my ibanez AZ242F. I put it on right when i got the guitar. The guitar stayed in tune ASTONISHINGLY great. After months of playing i would only need to hit the g-string fine tuner if at all. After restringing it for the 1st time i ended up leaving it off. Don't get me wrong the gotoh 510/locking tuners provide great stability, but i was shocked over the difference. Lol i was only able to get one cuz i sold a bunch of large/expensive bongs(I switched to dabs) and had some left over money after i got a mij ibanez and modded a tele...all i have to say is IT WORKS.
That is really awesome. I don't think I'd like having "NUTBUSTER" across my guitar.
Just bought one and installed it on my Gretsch Electromatic Double Jet with Bigsby. The tuning was so unstable that the Bigsby was almost never used. Like most people that have looked at these, the price held me back. For a while. All I can say is, it works perfectly! Just amazing! So I guess guitarists will have to decide what that's worth to them. I won't defend the price, but I will defend the functionality.
Amazing!!! This is absolutely genius and will forever change the way strat players view that trem bar. A little on the expensive side but well worth the investment. Thank you.
Never seen a better device for keeping a whammy bar guitar in tune!
Excellent camera work
I've tried several different ways of troubleshooting non-locking tremolo's but never even thought of tying all strings together behind the nut.......... You just gave me a simple fix idea without paying that ridiculous price!! Thanks Darrell!!
Invald test. Every time you used the nutbuster you ended with a short down push on the trem . This helps reset your trem. Had you that without the nutbuster installed your untouched guitar would have performed better.
The thing that fixed my tuning was the saddles. I had the ones that are also on your strat. I put on slotted string saving saddles and it kept the strings centered. That solved my tuning issues. I took a close look at your bridge, and I hope it was not an illusion but I saw some strings aligned and others not, all in the same frame, before you did the nut install. Take a look at it. It might be all that some of your viewers need.
I have a FR1000 on my Charvel and its pretty good . I hardtail my Strats for tuning stability as I play music that requires a lot of bending (country ) but I may buy one of these put on my strats . It's an amazing product . Thanks very much ! As always great video !
Amazing ! Thanks Darrell !
