bro this channel is gold, pls never stop posting

@ryelith

Waiting for the bro to discover steno and begin the journey into the final true chad form of typing.

@DasTechPriest

I agree, remapping vim keybinding sucks way more than relearning the motions, and that really sucks.

@lpanebr

I also got into keyboards with Ben Valeck and built my own 36 keys split keyboard. I love it but I'm still qwerty. You should have a bad hair day series for some random subject. Great content.

@ivanheffner2587

Counterpoint: my keyboard is contoured. Ergo superior ergo.

@michaelkrasilynets3443

Imagine switching to a different layout if you type in 3 different languages every day

@biggerben8276

I learned colemak-dh in like a week. With learning I mean that I got to about 87% of my qwerty speed (around 80-90wmp) and completely relearned vim. Also nice ferris build!

@cathalogrady2331

I think the vim muscle memory would be the biggest hit for a long time. There are so many vim commands i use once a month that i dont necessarily know the keys to lmao

@itisciprian

gone from a 60 percent to 36 keys and Miryoku layout. My way of life is vim with tmux and switched from windows to mac and now full linux.

@lolikpof

Gallium is a dope AKL. P.s. try tenting. Honestly, it's what made the biggest difference in comfort. I have a corne and I use a slightly customized Gallium, which feels great. But after using a 45°+ angle tilt (I use around 60°) there's no going back to typing flat. Best ergonomics improvement out there

@MG-SM

Engram was the second layout I tried, the first was halmak, ditched it as soon as I saw how bad it is compared to other layouts. When I got used to where every letter is in engram, i just couldn't believe how comfortable it is to type. everyword is now rolling down fingers with ease. and the punctuation marks placements are really good too.

@cgent7

I use a cantor keyboard, similar, but chose to stick with qwerty. I find it helps me constantly learn new vim things without interruption. Thanks for sharing.

@guyno_one293

Yeah personally I learned Colemak-DH because I had wrist pain and something had to change or I would have to quit programming for more than 1-2 hours per day

@chargernoises

bro makes me question my straightness

@l_ngpham

I still type no where near as fast as I used to on qwerty but my wrists hurt way less, and every word is very satisfying to type out

@mathmage420

I tried learning once DVORAK when I was in high school, maybe I'll consider trying out an alt layout again now that I'm older

@harshchauhan5514

Wow this channel is gold mine

@麥克-v1g

I learned dvorak, idk if I should lean another
