First time I ever played this, I couldn't play as a manual. Someone had broken the shifter. A few months later my arcade had it fixed, and I got to finally play it as it was. I discovered the gear drift by accident, and spent tonnes of dollary doos to master it.
I remember winning this race in the local arcade back when I was 12 years old. I was so hyped. Maybe I should find a way to play again so I can win the harder tracks too someday.
Game was freaking awesome back in the day.
This track looks like a remake of Daytona International Speedway, hence the title of this awesome SEGA arcade game. Great gameplay video!
I used to play this every Saturday at the arcade back in the day. I miss the 90s!
Although not your fastest lap, your lap 7 was a masterclass in precision driving.
I have no idea how many times I played this dam game, but I never saw victory lane 🤣
Use to play this back in 2002 in a 4-star hotel where they have an arcade room featuring this game.
This game looked a lot better in my memory...
Remember play this on my sega Saturn and a steering wheel. Felt like a baller
I like this better than the other racing games because Daytona USA requires so much damn skill!
From Daytona video's to Falcons, it's always interesting seeing what content creators have done for their first video... This game has terrible driver dynamics when compared to newer car games but is so nostalgic at the same time...
All I ever wanted was a game exactly like this but where the racers are real players too! 500 Laps!
0:11 this is your crew chief,were in a a rolling start,Keep up!
:36 When I saw how smooth this turn was, I knew we were witnessing a pro right here. Like he/she makes a living from playing this game somehow.
0:10 epic sound engine
Knocking my friends into the walls were always satisfying.
If you play as the Hornet in the sequel, Daytona USA 2 Battle On The Edge version, the camera angle is also used during the Rolling Start of the beginner track.
My boyfriend hyped this game up and it rubbed off on me. When I visited him I got to check out the real deal. 6 is my favorite. I was pretty bad I couldn't beat him on the medium course haha.
