Can’t data be corrupted when uploading or downloading to and from cloud drives? Can’t cloud drives be hacked or breached? Can data from cloud drives be accessed by the government or by employees from the host company? I have a few external drives I bought to back up data that I can’t access because it wasn’t made clear that I had to let the drive/computer know that I was about to unplug it. When I bought those drives it wasn’t made clear to me by Seagate that I needed to go through the simple process of selecting unplug drive on the task bar before unplugging drive. The reason I have a few corrupted external drives is because Seagate didn’t include that process in the instructions of the newer models I would buy after the corruption of their older ones. So there are some reasons people avoid backing up their drives.
