Olympia! Your stories are the best! Thank you so much. I have yet to hear an ending yet as your voice, tone and tempo are so relaxing I enjoy a good nights sleep after tuning in. Your topics are so interesting and your storytelling so wonderful tho that i plan on a daytime listen under a tree at the lakefront soon. Thanks again for all you do! 😊

Neat. I remember reading La Mort d'Arthur in my childhood and it was truly fascinating, even if it also felt quite obscure.

Now in my 50s, I wonder if Morganne La Fay is not the real protagonist in disguise, unbeknown to the author of course. She's a version of the Morrigan, who is the Celtic-subsumed version of the Basque supreme Goddess Mari (whose consort is a dragon, Sugaar, probably a red one, as red is her favorite color, along with black), and I wonder if the "incestuous" relation between Morganne and Arthur that produces Mordred is not ritual marriage legitimizing the King or Lord, which also appears in Irish and Basque legends, often with ill-fate as Christianity takes over and competes with the old beliefs.

And tonight, after listening to this, I do wonder: are they also the same as the Greek Moirai, the weavers of fate?

Si non e vero, e bene trovatto.
