I am a 78 year old retired computer sys admin. I feel good that i understand the concepts that you are talking about even if i did not understand all of the details. The text of some of the displays is not easily readable on a 10 inch tablet. You probably need a 17 inch screen or larger. That is about 42 cm for metric users. Also if Mr. Geerling intends this introductory lecture for long term use he needs to redo it. It does not need the first 5 minutes where he was talking about his equipment for giving the lecture. He also needs the smooth out his presentation. He was a little hesitant at some points. Having a written lesson plan might help. Those are just me being picky. In general good job Mr. Geerling.

@KahunaCoder

Thanks for explaining what Kubernetes is. I use ansible, thanks to your tutorials and code, and then dockerized all my applications. I was ready to explore Kubernetes via your videos until I understood that it would be of no benefit to my current environment. Thanks for saving me from wasting my time exploring this further. Your videos are clear and easy to follow so I may watch this series anyway just for my own knowledge.

@johalun

Super video! I applauded for $10.00 👏👏👏

@tmcarter3

im in the never touched or opend a kubernetes... been a IT admin for darn well 25 years and am just diving into this, with your help! Im very greatful to you for dragging me into finally understanding!

@Adks007

I keep smiling when I watch your videos. You are such a great gentleman.

@GrigLarson

I cannot tell you how much I look forward to these videos. Jeff has a good, solid teaching style that makes this information easy to digest without being overly-simple or glossing over things like, "this is easy for me, let's move on" like a lot of other tutorials. Plus he shows mistakes, and WHY they are mistakes, like "ah, I forget to set the NodePort" so you can see what those errors look like. When they happen to you, you can ask, "am I missing an option?" But Jeff doesn't get too far in the weeds, like debugging his own mistakes at 200wpm and as a student, you don't know what the mistakes are, and what really happened (which I am sure happens in post-editing). I like it when instructors show common mistakes, like, "If you forget to set this/do this in this order, this is what will happen, and why."

@stuffinfinland

Man, I remember two years ago watching Kubernetes docs, howto's etc and they didn't make much sense. Glad I found your channel!

@webarchitect

Hello from Moscow! At the beginning, two years ago, I wanted to make something what can turn my computer from freshly installed OS to fully customized php-developer workstation. Then I've found Ansible. Then I've found tons of useful Ansible-roles in the Galaxy from you, Jeff! Currently I keep using your roles, write my own open source Ansible roles and some CMS-specific PHP libraries. With tests and CI, of course! What you do is important and interesting for me! Previously I was like detective reading your source code, googling for questions I have, and it's difficult. So it's great to see you at YouTube! :) Let the power of CI be with you! :)

@rolfbecker4512

Dear Jeff, thank you so much for your great videos! They are very informative and inspiring! Because of you I will introduce Kubernetes on Raspberry PI clusters in my teaching (at a German University of Applied Sciences).

@martinkolek2049

Thank you very much, after three days I've finally understood k8s via this real-life example!

@Dravig

Hello Jeff) I'm from Ukraine. Thank you for your work, I really appreciate it!

@richardpalmanteer9798

My two years in college Computer Science I had to install a KVM Switch in my virtual lab environment for part of my Comp TIA A+ Exam. I had been working with computers since Windows 3.1 Windows for Workgroups and DOS 6.1 back in the late 90's My first computer was a Packard Bell Desktop with a 56K modem over a phone line. Now I'm working on some old computer's I had and upgrading them to run Linux distributions MX Linux, Ubuntu, Twister OS, Etc. Thanks for the series you are doing I'm checking out some of the website dealing with your interest in Kubernetes and find interesting. I've never heard of it but will watch and learn.

@topdog1400

40 years in the software business still dunno what a heck is Kubernetes. So now Im gonna check this. Cheers ;)
