The killer Goodnotes feature for me is that when i plug my iPad in to the classroom projection system (usually via a document camera) it will give me the best projection tools of any system Ive seen. I can display exactly what i see, display a pinch and zoom screen where only i see the tools, and a fixed screen.

Do any other systems offer this?

I use only one page setting because it needs to work with a classroom lcd panel. So, i have pretty simple paper and pen needs.

It also seems to do the best job of bringing in images and pdf files for class use.

I used Notability for a long time, and like that for what it is, and have tried almost everything you have recommended, but still prefer Goodnotes. I also use Apple Notes a lot, and also use Evernote and Liquid Text for specific things. I haven’t found any use for Freeform.

Hey Ropsey, are you going to do a review on the new Apple Notes on iPadOS 26? 🤞Really hoping they now enable changing fonts and font colours. 🤞
