This guy is gonna be regarded as one of the greats in the future he’s just so honest and real
My husband was laid off and out of work for 3 years. I worked a full-time job and 2 consulting gigs to pay our bills. It taught me to never have expenses that will exceed a single income. Hubby and I have been consumer-debt free since 2008 and it's really nice. We track our expenses which shows us exactly how much we spend and set limits for food/eating out/booze and have a goal to put 25-30% into a high-yield savings. We are trying to buy our first place and we are in our mid 50's.
Basically boils down to two things, "Don't waste money on BS stuff and learn to do math" :)
If more people are like you, this would be a better place.
This video , and this channel should be required viewing for every 18 year old in the country. Then again when they are about to graduate from college.
"I have an amigo" caught me off guard haha
3:58 “The magic blackmailing words.” 🤣 Brian you crack me up…all the time! 👍
I stopped going to fast foods through the week, now I bring food from home. It saves me a ton of money
"any DUDE with Louis Vuitton..." I died laughing out loud. I know way too many of these. Forking over several hundred for just a belt or a tiny card wallet. Good advice Brian!
I only recently realized how important it is to track your spending..... Made a budget for myself and figured I could just "play it by ear" for the first year or so. A few months ago I took a look at my cc statements from last year and found I was spending over $500 per month in unnecessary purchases. You might think I'm just dumb for not realizing how much I was overspending but those $20-$50 purchases really can add up without you ever realizing. Especially if your budget is aimed toward living below your means
#8: allow your government to print money faster than you save. Happened to me. Avoided 1-7, forgot about 8
Do a video on good habits please. For financial freedom
I’m a CPA - certified parent & Adult. Mostly competent. lol honestly, thanks for this information. I appreciate this and other videos you make.
Bad/good spending habits are very costly nowadays! Please start budgeting People. Thank you Brian for your time and video!
OMG this was the most important gesture of public service that I have seen in a very long time. Brian, thank you for sharing a lesson that could keep people from falling through the gap/cracks when they unexpectedly lose their job or when they retire. I did those things but only after taking classes at my job. This advice is worth its weight in gold. Thank you
I'm still poor monitarily due to inflation on basic living expenses have been exceptionally high AND working wages are low. This country has not increased wages to keep up as well as retaining employment has been a struggle. I know others are experiencing this as I.
You got my attention when you mentioned your honesty and how you feel about dishonest people, as for me I believe do to others what you want done to you, it never fails
I would add to that list, not maximizing on your 401(k) and not starting early enough to see the power compound interest.
Thanks compa Brian. I budgeting really has helped out. I traded in my gas guzzler SUV and bought a hybrid. The extra money left that I budgeted for gas is going towards the payment.
