If you download the Windows 11 ISO and format it to a USB drive using Rufus, you won't have to worry about doing the manual workaround to sign in with a local account. It also gives you options to automatically uncheck all of Microsoft's telemetry tracking.

A big thing I'll add is to turn off automatic updates for everything including windows and defender. Out of all the "my pc is running slow" calls we get, 99% of the time it's because of updates. They get home from work or school, turn on their PC to game, work or watch Paul for an hour but can't since all the updates start going at once without them knowing.
