I’ve fought the battle of addiction, I was dead for 5 minutes and came back and sat up on them in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. Fast forward 10 years I’m now 3 years off methadone and working a job living a stable life. Still struggling with the effects of the drugs I’ve consumed because of a doctor prescribing me dilaudid for pain while being known as being manic depressive. Spiralled into a horrible habit that last 11 years and was on methadone for 5 years. Little over a month ago was 3 years sober and off methadone. Just trying to live each day better than my last. This song hits deep.. the truth needs to be spread more about the tyrants of the pharmaceutical industry.
