I recently liquidated some long-term positions and now have about $250k to invest. Do you think Nvidia is still a smart buy, or have I missed a key buying window? Any recommendations for high-performing stocks would be appreciated.
There are lots of mixed opinions about stocks and there projection in the next coming years, I aim for short term solid gains from market correction and I'd definitely jump on the boat if I knew a thing or two about day-trading, but then again what do I really know? I'm just looking for the right moves to grow and hedge my stagnant reserve of $370k from inflation.
I initially did the big ticket buy, 150k into SCHD, 75k TSLA, 25k VYM, 25K VUG, AMZN 25K. Now I'm dca buying roughly 2k every week of whatever is on sale, and looking to add more tech positions to my portfolio. I'm looking to hold long term 15 - 20 years, so hopefully my lump sum buy in doesn't bite me in the ass long term.
I own 3 shares of Berkshire stock (BRK:A) which I bought in at about $17,000 during the mid 90s, I’m currently liquidating some of these positions to incoporate new Gen. Stocks, but am I better off re-investing into Gold as it seems stocks are a little too unstable right now.

I'm happy with my cost basis, I will just compound the dividends myself investing in other companies, if the share price goes down again to a 4% dividend yield I'll keep adding.
Every crash/collapse brings with it an equivalent market chance if you are early informed and equipped, I've seen folks amass up to $1m amid economy crisis, and even pull it off easily in favorable conditions. Unequivocally, the collapse is getting somebody somewhere rich.
I closed my BAM long position some months ago, so it's it's nice to see that you also feel that it is too overvalued to hold any longer
Looking forward to your BN earnings review tomorrow. Good work
I agree that BAM is overvalued, especially relative to BN, but you are forgetting about the carried interest
Great analysis as always. Thanks Daniel for sharing
Thumbs Up video/ comments. Thanks for the update info. AI sector Dip-buying Vocodia 48 % week..Vhai and Workhorse 78 % week Wkhs. The Bull market charging.
Thanks Daniel..
Great analysis on BAM, and it clearly justifies your decision. I have to admit, it was a bit sad to see you move on from it, as your analysis played a big role in my own due diligence when I decided to invest in BAM. That said, you have to do what's best for your portfolio. I'm planning to stay in for a while, as I got in after you and am still seeing nearly a 50% gain in both BAM and BN. I’m optimistic about their future initiatives, and I’m hopeful that a low-interest-rate environment could support their growth. Potential inclusion in the S&P 500 could also be a positive catalyst for BAM. I look forward to any future coverage you may do on BAM!
I recently sold some of my stocks positions, but I'm retaining a portion for the long term, I want to diversify my $400K portfolio to new gen stocks with masive potential, but I'm uncertain about risks. kinda confused here.
great congrats :) looking forward to see next video. would be happy if there is more videos from you
Hold it in my dividend growth account. Bought it for the dividend growth but it’s up 30 % since I got it in which is nice but not how I was trying to strategize it. Not complaining, I’ll just hold and drip and see how it goes.
Thanks Daniel, from your analysis it seems like a very good decision. Time will tell ... cheers!!!
Can you discuss about the smaller cap stocks that you invested in after you completely close your position so we can hear your thought process on that investment and what you did differently for a smaller cap company vs a larger cap one? Appreciate the great quality videos you post!
