For anyone who is trying to run wired ethernet in your home. Over the course of 5 years and 2 different homes. I would recommend not buying a spool of cat cable, just buy high end cables that are already terminated the exact length you need. You will thank me later. I have successfully terminated them before, but it takes much practice to get them perfect, and even on your best day you will not be better than a cat 8 cable you bought that was already terminated, and future proofed.
